Forum here is full of broke customers, we've already spent our play money on 487-492 nm diodes :wave::wave:

mr-keyboard on ebay is a bit of an arse, as soon as he saw I was interested in that sensor when asking a question, he raised the price 50 bucks, then when I made an offer he counter offered right up next to the buy it now price. I emailed letting him know he can keep it on his shelf for that amount and he raised it fifty cents more. I've watched this guy on ebay for years, made offers many times but he always counters with an amount right up next to the buy it now price, not going to happen, if you bate me with that and respond that way, forget it.

I can't be sure, but I think I remember that some of these Ophir sensor heads such as that 150W-A-.04-Y, have different output values than the 20C-A-1-Y (1mV = 1mW) that we generally use here, and that you need to account for those differences in your readings.

I'm sure Jerry would know for sure. :)

Sorry for the thread derail.

If that's the case, good thing he did that. I don't think troublesome minds too much we keep bumping his thread up to the top again each time we post, even if oblique subjects.

Sure, I dont mind, guys:)

by the way, I know somebody in china can make meter for any Ophir OEM sensor like this and not expensive
https://laserpointerforums.com/f39/pending-fs-ophir-20c-1-y-brand-new-meter-99240.html

You can go to ebay to buy oem sensor as below and buy meter from china (taobao)

Yeah... the 150W-A-.04-Y would give you
an output of 0.04mv/Watt and is originally
calibrated at 1064nm.

BTW is there a pic of the back of the Head
being sold here... Might have different cal.
data.

Yep, that's what I thought, thanks for the confirmation and information, Jerry! :thanks:

Based on what you said, is using the .04 on the 150W-A-.04-Y, and the 1 on the 20C-A-1-Y an accurate way of quickly determining the mV/mW ratio on these Ophir sensor heads?

You know that when you buy a new car it drops in value as soon as you leave the lot in it. It is still a used sensor and not a new one.

I totally agree with what you said. this brand-new sensor is priced at $2400

I sell it for $600 and I only use it one or two time.

the price is fair I guess :)

But, did you pay $2400 for this sensor? And if not, was it only new to you, or did you get it from a dealer who sold it new in the box? If you are pricing yours on the new price of one today, that isn't the same as it being used a few times by you, but still being 9 years old.
