Oh, btw, is the beam aligned correctly? Like not angled as the o-like 400mW usually is..

The beam is off but by a tiny margin that isn't really noticeable unless you turn the laser on a flat surface in order to look for it.
I also just re-tested the laser on an actual full battery and it peaked at 515mW.

I'm also like 99% sure that that o-like also isn't IR filtered like this one is.. right? And the heatsinking isn't anywhere near as good.. Not a very good comparison
