Hard to tell from the video but it doesn't look like the laser is centered... so you could see a somewhat higher reading even.

Thanks buddies :wave: I am really happy with it and i can't wait to send you guys a picture of the end result of the lpm in it's alluminium case with fast respons volt meter :D

@ infinitus You absolutely 100% right about on how to meter it i was to busy getting a good shot and i forgot to get the correct distance. Also i am not going to worry about the batteries and temperature that much, i am sure it can hit 3W.

I am still gonna sell it as a 2.9W laser. the difference between 2.9W and 3W is not noticable it is only bragging rights :tinfoil:

And if you really want a 3W+ laser swap the mode driver with the blitzbuck V3 set at 2.35A and bang :gun: lol

This is a humble question, since it has a massive heatsink. If true then i've been overworking my little 445's , the ones at or above 2 watts.

Probably not, and I rarely do so myself, but in testing diodes, some members, far more knowledgeable and experienced than I am, have left their builds to rest for several hours before re-testing.
