Thats exactly it ^ I could make these over 3W with the G1, but the beam diverges
a lot more. The dot on the wall would be nearly twice the size at a given
distance vs the aixiz lens.

The ultimate setup would be to use the aixiz 3 element lenses and correction.
While yes the mW would suffer, this setup would produce a smaller 'dot' at a
further distance. This in turn would make a lower mW laser have a higher
beam density at distance..

Dun worry about it, you could probably sell away the 2.8 watt and buy the 6 watt. The 2.8 watt is equally rare as well, unless someone decide to mass produce your unit....
