I've got two ready. They both have the A140 diode. They both have the AixiZ 445nm glass lens. They both have the Microboost driver. They are both powered by an 18650 battery (included). They are both putting out 975mW

SOLDThe first is in the Jayrob, black, 18650 host with a copper heat sink. It is $225, shipped in the US

SOLD The second is in an Ehgemus custom host. It is $250, shipped in the US

Peace,
dave

Re: FS:2 @ 445nm >950mW

Could it be cheaper?
Yobresal is selling lasers over 1000mw for only USD190

Re: FS:2 @ 445nm >950mW

Daguin is doing this out of "hobby"(he only builds a few lasers at a time),Yorbesal is making many at one time.It is comon sense that if you make 20pcs,you could sell them cheaper than if you only made 2-3.That is my only take on this,I do not own either of there lasers, but I am sure(from reading the forums)that they are great builder.I am sure you will be happy with either purchase.
Thanks,
Joe

IMHO a 1000mw laser laser less then $500 is cheap. This is about as good of a deal as your gonna find, aside from Yobresal.

Re: FS:2 @ 445nm >950mW

The copper heatsink and the micro-boost drive more than make up for the price difference. As for the ehgemus...it is a one of a kind custom build. If I were selling THESE lasers ny price would be the same as his.

I have not bought from yobresal yet, but I have bought from daguin. His products are meticulously built. Also his after purchase support is good. I don't know if he does it with every laser he sells but mine came with a nice assortment of laser goodies. I've heard good things about yobresal, but from experience I can tell you, you can't go wrong with a daguin build.

What's the little circular notch on the side of the head on the Ehgemus one?

Does the Ehgemus build have a copper heatsink?

I believe it is a set screw

Gah... I get paid on Friday. If the Ehgemus host one is still around then, I'll take it. :D

Now I'll go play Minesweeper while I wait impatiently...

It is a set screw. This host uses an AixiZ module to hold the diode.

The entire host is the heat sink. It is all aluminum. There is no "separate" heat sink in this Ehgemus build. The module goes into the body and the body is all one piece, back to the tail cap.

Aww shucks, someone got the Ehgemus already.

Any chance you're putting together any Jayrob Stainless Steel 18650 445nm builds any time soon? I'd buy one immediately.

They go quickly ;)

Talk to Jayrob. He's still trying to "catch up" with the wave of demand that the 445nm brought on.
