SOLD: 1,700 mW 453nm (high wavelength) - "Tiny Tank" Silver / Brushed Nickel Build

Hello all,

For Sale: 1,700 mW 453nm build - The "Tiny Tank"
(Higher wavelength cherry-picked 453nm diode)

There's something special about this host, and that's it's weight. In terms of dimensions, it looks similar to a FandyFire 18650 body. In reality, the construction of this host is substantially heavier. The host walls are the thickest I have seen in an 18650 form factor. If you glance at the up-close headshot, you'll see what I mean. This body has a lot more mass to dissipate heat throughout than other 18650 hosts I've come across. There's a really solid weight to this laser, it feels very substantial to hold. The build runs on either 2x16340 or 2x18350 cells. As always, I recommend IMRs.

As with some other recent builds, I've been cherry picking high wavelength diodes now that I have a spectrometer. I've used a 453nm diode in this build, which means that mW for mW you'll get a much brighter beam than with a 445. Colour-wise, you won't see a difference between 453 and 445 (unless you have amazing eyes). According to my brightness comparison tool, this build would look like a 2.3W 445nm. There's some debate over how well these brightness comparison tools can work, but it should be safe to say that in the very least, this wavelength will look brighter than a 2W+ 445nm.

Nice...
The only thing missing is the Power Graph....

See, I was following Lazeerer's lead, and going to PM the buyer the power graph instead of posting it up front. I guess you can never make everyone happy!

Here it is. See, the thing is that it actually LPM'd at 1,742. I like the benefit of being able to round DOWN the actual output, so that natural variance from LPM to LPM is never going to result in someone buying a laser that meters lower than the description they purchased. But at any rate, here it is - metering at a bit above 1700mW

Simple elegance. What do you estimate the duty cycle at? Could you also include a couple pair of appropriate glasses, and at what extra cost, for demonstrations with other people viewing. Also what payment method do you prefer?

Thank you for the kind words. Unfortunately this guy has been sold.

Knew it! Any available in approximately those output perimeters that you have or know of?
