SOLD:1.6W 445nm, Huge heatsink, incl goggles x2, made by rhd.

Plus - from the looks of my build photos, I'm pretty sure this would be an easily repairable laser. If you ever burnt out that diode, I'm doubtful that there would be anything more than a $45 replacement diode to get it back up and running.

God damn Helios makes nice heatsinks! :)

Just arrived! Felt like a kid on Christmas morning tearimg into the box....what a beautiful device! I remember 1986 high school...the physics dept got a red laser, the thing was about the size of a big shoebox and was less powerful than the cheap $5 penlights lasers on eBay....baby, we've come a loooonnnnggg way now! This thing is truly amazing! Can't wait until it gets dark tonight, going to the wildlife refuge in the Wichita mountains here in OK to play. Supposed to rain too..I hear they look really cool in the rain at night.

Is there an aftermarket focus ring bezel that's bigger than the one on this thing? It scares me to get my fingers so close to the beam...would like something a little bigger to grab on to.

Sorry for the long time I took to write this reply-

I'm really glad that it arrived quickly and that you're happy with it. I thought you were a wonderful buyer to work with and I'll be +rep'ing you as soon as I'm done writing this!

If you feel I was a good seller, please do the same, and of course, if you have any questions about the laser, please feel free to shoot me a PM or email.

Hi, yes...great transaction, quick delivery, everything exactly as advertised. No remorse buy! This is a great little laser, very powerful, tight construction, perfect operation. It was a pleasure doing business with you...let me know if you ever have another like it to sell!

I have always wanted to construct my own laser like this and now that I own one I want to build one all the more. Someday down the road, maybe a few months or so I may put this one back up for grabs, once I have built a couple of my own designs.

I spoke with JayRob and soon he will be building me a three diode MagLight sink....gonna put three 445 diodes in one head running in series wide open at 1800mA using a single LM1084 DDL and four 2600mA/h cells. This little guy I just bought has inspired me!

Thanks again, you certainly have my recommendation as a great seller!
Jeff
