Yup, have seen that type of add many times. As well as for ridiculously overpriced flashlights.
 
Someone should report folk like this if they are based out of the states, or anywhere else where selling such a laser would be considered illegal.
 
They are selling these out of Las Vegas, but what is the actual output?

Uhhhhhh.
The reviews are possibly the derpiest thing I've read in my life, and that's including youtube comments.

Holy shit lol. Are people really dumb enough to get suckered into these things?
 
WOW. That's just terrible. This is just ebay junk with a lame sticker on it. Im sick of these FB feeds for all sorts of crappy lasers. The worst part is all the likes and "good" comments. Is there an easier way to neg this guys other than FDA reporting?

Well, props to the guy who thought of this. Not to the whole "blind people with it" aspect, but he figured out how to sell $5 lasers for many, many times what they're worth. I'm sure 303/301 lasers only cost a few cents to manufacture, so the Chinese manufacturers who sell them for $5 a pop are already making a huge profit anyway.

Not surprising really, most people who see something like this think "OMG laz0r so cool I need one now!", which leads to them being taken advantage of. I may or may not have been in this group at one point. :o

EDIT: Anyone with an LPM want to get one and report the output to the FDA? ;)

Regardless of if it actually works, it's something you might not want to use.

Oddly using lasers (or any other means) to specifically blind enemies in warfare is forbidden under the Geneva convention, so using these would be comparable to putting landmines in your lawn to deter burglars.

Practically it would probably not be a good thing to use either. First of all you need to blind both eyes to be effective, which is not that easy to do. If you blind one eye chances are you will be held liable for injuring the burglar - first of all because your weapon was ineffective, and secondly because it's something you're not even allowed to use against enemy combatants, let alone some poor sob robbing you of a few bucks.
 
My biggest problem with this was that they are condoning the use of these for some kind of self-defense purpose. That is just irresponsible to the nth degree. Every one of these cheap 303s I have ever heard of are all Class 3B lasers and to advocate using a Class 3B laser against another person especially shining one in their eyes as advertised, that is ridiculous. I can only see bad things happening here with marketing like this. As far as their extreme markup, that is incidental as someone once said, "There's a sucker born every minute."
 
Yea, most people hopefully won't be fooled or pay that stupid price, but to advocate a war crime as an intended use is disgustingly irresponsible, I have not yet contacted the FDA and would rather not, someone should sue the idiots.

This was on bookface? Someone should notify bookface about it and they should bad the moron, I'm not a bookface user, but you guys who are should alert them.

I reported the post, but I doubt it will do anything. It was a sponsored link that just showed up in my feed. First ad for a laser that I have seen on there.
 
This was a sponsored post on Instagram. Popped up in my feed as well as everyone else's I assume. It scares me, maybe I need to wear my laser shades all the time. They're pretty stylish
