Hopefully this will point someone else in the right direction if they are looking for a good aluminum carry case for their laser gear.

Some final thoughts, the poker chip carrying cases look to be cheaply made, but might be a good way to get started inexpensively. ALSO, check DARTS carrying cases for potentially good cases.

I bought my foam here, Schuimplastic | foam | hardschuim | zachtschuim | ethafoam | noppenschuim | speakerschuim | zelfbouw flightcase | penn-elcom
But you can find foam at local flight cases shop or Ebay.

I have two similar to that one that are full of poker chips that I bought years ago at WMT. I actually use two of them stacked under my desk at home for a foot rest, but I digress.

I just checked the ones I have and the trays that hold the chips on mine just lift out leaving a blank cavity ready for some pick and pluck foam.

I hope these are like this as well.
