Site Performance - How is it going

Hey guys, just wanted to check in regarding site performance.

I recently increased bandwidth for my hosting acct and have modified some settings on the server to further improve performance. how has the site been running for you all?

would you all like to be able to see more threads listed in individual forums at once? i can probably increase this more

it's running like a 454 big block with merlin (3) heads running
a 75 shot of nitrious with a pair of slicks -lets just say its hooking up here on my end

Site loads extremely slowly and laggs IE/FF (FF without adblock). Probably because of the big flash ads.

Loads fine for me. Then again, I do have high-speed internet...

what OS / specs on your PC spyro, and net conn. speed?

No. Gifs can take a long time to load and display on slower computers, much longer than swf files. (At least that's what my experience has been.)

For me the forum runs quickly, however, I find the search function uselessly slow. In the time it takes me get results i can usually open up a tab and search google "whatever site:laserpointerforums.com" quicker, although it doesnt work for new posts.

It has indeed been running MUCH slower, not just today, but maybe it's just me (though I doubt it).

earlier today i was downloading a 4gig file from LPF at 1MB a sec, this could have been reason for slowness.. is it better now niko?

site has a built in google search feature on darkshadows layout that might help more than regular forum search, but it doesn't always update to most recent posts for 2 or 3 days

It's better now, maybe that was it. But performance is now normal

99% of the board loads fine on my DSL3500.
But it has a weird lag when opening the Groub Buy section :-?

Loading instantly or with 500ms delay with my 20Mbits/s connection from Spain (ADSL2+).
I've never had problems with the performance of this forum.
