So I have been working on constructing a host, cast out of sterling silver. However my attempts to take pictures with a cell phone camera aren't working that well. (surprise surprise.....) I will have to add more pictures later, however I will have to use a much better camera, and I will probably wait until I have a chance to take a beam shot.

Putting a 12X in here. Although I haven't decided what current to set it at yet. Probably going to try to push it a bit, as being silver, It should be quite capable of handling the heat dispersion.

The violet colored stones are violet to blue color change sapphires, and the texture is vines wrapping around a stone column. Going to press fit the finished module in with some fine silver foil. End result should make most of the host function well as a heatsink.

The battery inside is a single 14500

I am waiting to install the laser module before I work on building a focus ring for it, but the focus ring will be as wide as the back tail cap where the switch is, and should complete the stone column look.

This first picture has my dorcy I tweaked to fit in a 100mW green module I got from modwerx as well. (Mostly to give you a perspective on size)

Ok, I've updated the pictures now, as the laser is finished. (more or less)

ok, I took better pictures. now the catch is figuring out how to resize them so it doesn't mess up the screen.... lol. Pictures and cameras are just not my thing. I had to borrow the photo tent at my work to take these

WOW , you weren't joking... from the first pic I thought this was a joke as it did look nothing more than a flashlight covered in foil. Well done!

Yes, quite nice! I didn't realize it's completely silver... Could be a good present for your gf, BTW ;)

Not bad. Is it a sand cast? I've toyed with the idea.
