Hey guys, I know some of you don't make review threads for your lasers, and also I figured it would be fun to get some pictures all in one place of the builds done with the new 462nm diode. Just post a picture of the host it resides in and a picture of the beam. You can either compare it to a 445nm, have it in a big lineup of all of your lasers, or just show the color by itself. This should serve as a way for people who have yet to jump on this gravy train to see why they should :p and also be a nice way to get all of the 462nm builds in one place. We can either just have each one in posts or I can embed the images in this post in a long list as well, prefaced by the username of the owner/builder. Let me know what yall think. These new diodes are phenomenal and I cannot wait to see what everyone has.

EDIT: Also if you have a review you can post the URL of it. If you do I will make the pictures a link so you can click to go to each person's individual review/build thread.

Interesting idea. I'll make my review in a few weeks... I need proper equipment/time. Mostly time.

For now--

ZRaffleticket how did you get it to 2W?

From what I can see of the image it looks like he is using a G Lens. At 2.4A, these guys hover around 1.7W with a 3 element so with a G lens you could expect 2.1A or more.

Peak on mine was 1968mW.. (laserbee) so it does go over 2W for some time at the very least. I'm using a G-lens.

Hey guys!

You figured it out pretty fast! :p the build for sm is done. At first glance the blue looked very much like normal 445. But when i put a 445 of the same powert next to it, wow what a difference.

It is an entirely different blue! Anyway i will let sm do all the beautifull pictures. He will have it at his doorstep in three days.

Greetings!

It's really a cool color isn't it ! It makes my 445 look violet. I can't hardly tell the difference by itself but put it next to a 445 and the difference is apparent.
Congratulations on the laser !
