I tried out the Dual head laser from ScreamBuy.com (Green & Red)

Here's the link:
( 2 in 1 ) Red and Green laser flashlight two color laser flashlight , 650nm red in 100mW , 532nm green in 50mW [BgpW-0025 two color laser] : Screambuy electronic consume products

I was planning on blending the beams for a yellow. Or possibly swapping out the red with a blu-ray and blending it with the green.

But for 3 reasons, I changed my mind...

1. The green module is over 100mW's stable, and this it too much power for what I had in mind for blending when I bought it. (says 50mW's on the site)

2. Both lasers come on together, and there is no separate switching.

3. I found that I like the kaleidoscope tip with the two colors together! :)

So I'll just have to come up with my own design for blending green and blu-ray. :D

Anyway, here are some pictures:

This dual laser was only $80 bucks! The package includes an 18650 battery, a charger, and two tips for the laser. (spinning, wide angle kaleidoscope tip, and the other tip just has an off centered aperture hole, and blocks the other beam)

I will probably just keep the kaleidoscope tip on there and never use the other tip. The kaleidoscope tip turns for different patterns with dual colors. Really cool!

There is a dual circuit in there that I didn't want to take apart. Might mess it up...

The tail switch is a nice little clicky, and is recessed.

The host quality is not the greatest, but for the price of this package deal, it is plenty good.

Both lasers are about 108mW's and steady. (hopefully they are all like that)

Also, the owner has very good communication and e-mails the tracking number.

Pretty impressed for the price! :)

Just to mention also, because of the very wide window on the kaleidoscope tip, and the spacing of the two lasers, it fills an entire room!

Super wide throw! So make sure it is out in front of you. (watch your eyes)

The person that runs that place was/is a member here, I think.. i just can't think of his name ATM..

Seems to be a 'straight shooter'...

Here is an e-mail that he just sent me to tell me about their 3 color laser, and he admits that it is not as stable as the dual head laser:

"Dear Jay , Thanks your professional review .
We have 3 color in 1 now , ( 3 in 1 ) Red Green Purple laser flashlight [BRGW-0030 three color laser] : Screambuy electronic consume products

I sold one set yesterday , but i noticed there was no heat sink :-( . Cause 3 color laser is easy to burn 1 color ,,, the laser module is small enough but quality is poor , ------ at least , i feel unhappy of that .

3 color module generate heat very fast , but factory don't make heat sink inside -_-!!!

I tested a lot in among 2 pc , after turn on 1- 2 min, one burned 405nm color ,,,
The other one , 3 color power drop some , but after cool down , power is up again .
--------- I feel it is unstable product yet .

So i decide to pause the selling , and hope that factory can revise it better .

Just to let you know , because factory told me it is hot selling . Thanks

Best Regards

Sounds like he cares about what he is selling...

That's what I was thinking when I bought it...

But it was supposed to only have a 50mW green module. Now that I have it, and the green is over 100mW's, it is too much green for blending with a red to make yellow. The green will wash out the red.

Jay, those units have a pot on the green driver board simply turn down the pot:) just becouse its 100mW doesn't mean you need all of it

Yeah, just what I was about to say! >100mW of orange sounds too good to be true... How is the laser for heat?

Yeah but it looks like the heatsink and everything is glued in there...

I'm not so sure I want to try to take it apart. Have you had one apart?
