I think I'll have mine made tonight. He offered to help if I helped him out with some ethernet cabling. By the time we were finished it was already 11pm and we didn't want to work with small electronics that late.

In the meantime, I'm looking forward to your thread Paul!

I really like that last pic with the beam and it's reflection on the granite; nice!
 
Hi,Thanks guys ,Paul finally completed his 495 build and it came out awesome a truly great job. The Granite reflects the beam in the daylight , took most of the day to machine the host let alone the electronics . But well worth the wait.

Got mine up and running!

I'll post tomorrow. Way too late here tonight...
 
Built a couple 495nm units yesterday. Haven't put them on a meter yet but the leadlight is set around 80mA and the Palide host (1x 14500) is set to 225mA. Interesting color for sure! I'm ready for the next wavelength now.

Sweet, what drivers are you using?
 
Not sure what he's using for 225mA, maybe blitz?

I know the 80mA leadlight is using the micro flex
 
Those are nice, styropyro. What lens are you using, and do you see a rectangular artifact in the dot of the beam's profile? It is an unusual color.
