Hi, SOLD!!!
I have a custom pending on a 488 build in a custom white powder coated side momentary button with a brass focus adapter. If he renews it up for sale.

That is very unusual. I have measured many GH04850B2G Sharp diodes for wavelength and the lowest one I ever saw was 486.3nm. And that was just above threshold. Are you sure the 480nm one is the same diode? Even the short run diodes that came in between 473nm and 478nm never got to 480nm.

Intriguing, a true 480nm. Yes, i'm interested to know if it the same batch.

Paul, one of the short run diodes hit 480nm - that's the one I kept.

Very odd to see one hit that low though. The 486 however would be my favorite of the 3

I think I now remember that, but it wasn't one of the GH04850B2G diodes. So very many diodes it's hard to keep them all sorted in my mind. Getting old sucks.

All of them were bought from techhood in 3 different transactions. One each in September, October, and November 2018. I'll be posting pictures for sure once I get it installed in something.

I also have one of these and it was right around 488.

Yes, all the Sharp GH04850B2G diodes are AROUND 488nm. Specifically between 486.8nm and 493nm at the current needed to get 60 mW or more optical power out.

He specs them on my usb2000. It’s 480 and bluetiful. You can tell by eye. Was nice to meet you. I’ll bring it again next year. I calibrated off a mercury source just before he did his testing and was within 0.1nm

Yeah, I have a 477nm one which is very close to 480nm. I didn't know you had measured it on your spectrometer because that wasn't mentioned at all. I use my Ocean Optics spectrometer to bin diodes and have been doing so for a number of years. That color blue is very unusual for a laser wavelength.

It’s sort of like what you wish 488 looked like. Very blue but not 473 either.

I only kept the one diode from that short run. I have kicked myself ever since because there will be no more of these diodes coming.....ever.
