I'll update this thread with pictures and some LPM readings where necessary later ...

Anyway - going to have to sell off some of the labbies. Money is tight - Yellowknife isn't cheap, especially living alone. Thinking of moving back to renting a room come November when the lease is up, we will see. For some perspective, a room here costs >$600 - generally not including utilities...

Shipping to North America will be $25 for everything except for the Melles heads/PSUs if you're interested on those. Bit more bulky than everything else.

#12W Dual Ca$io (A140?) 445nm with prism pair. Runs on 12V with a 5V analogue modulation signal - good for a projector or burning your blinds from 15ft away (Oops...). $150 OBO

#2 -SOLD CNI MGL-H-532-500 - Last time I measured it I was seeing exactly 500mW. Takes a little bit to warm up and stabilize. Mode hops a little, kinda near TEM10 - probably just needs a simple bit of realignment - these aren't complex as far as high powered DPSS lasers go. Has analogue modulation - I just have the + pin jumpered to the 5V power input just now. $200 FIRM

#3 SOLD - 6x LPC826 Diode Lab Unit - Custom from Andycon - This needs some work - at least a couple of the mirrors need replaced, two of the diodes definitely need replaced - perhaps a third too - can't remember. Bit of a project for someone to work on. Should do around 1.2W @ 650nm after some TLC. Produces a surprisingly decent beam when properly aligned. Sold AS IS. $50 OBO.

#4 -SOLD B&W 473nm Labby - Pretty sure we're mostly all familiar with these. This one does ~10mW after warming up - I've removed the photodiode assembly and fibre coupler. Divergence is terrible on these as they weren't built with a collimator - at least none that I've seen. Can be modified for a collimated beam. Beam mode isn't great either, but hey, it's 473nm and yours for only $80! $80 FIRM.

#5 - Melles 18W 808nm Pump Diode. Fibre coupled pump diode from a 2W Melles Griot 532nm. Worked the last I tested it - looks like all of the dies are still working. Still mounted to its base plate - removing it would mean ruining the fibre coupling. Can't confirm power as it's way above what my meter will take. $40 OBO.

#6 - SOLD Lasever Lab Unit LSR638CPD 1W 638nm - Pretty much new - less than 1 hour of use. Has some nasty splash to the sides of the beam (Will add pictures) - came that way from the factory, works fine otherwise - wasn't an issue for me as I was planning on throwing it in a projector - easy enough to filter out the splash. Main beam still meets spec'd power even after cutting the splash. $210 FIRM.

May have a couple other things to add ... I'm keeping the argon and pointers though. Unless someone wants to pay ridiculous shipping prices for the argon.

To add, maybe:
2x Melles PSUs for the broken 2W greens.
1x Broken 2W melles head - still has the pump which was still functional last I tested it, can't confirm power - may be missing some screws...
1x Empty Melles head - Similar to the one above - Will need to find the screws for that too... Everything removed from that.
2x KTP Crystals from the 2W Melles Greens - pretty darn beefy crystals. Still in mounts. Actually one of the two may still be in the first head I mentioned - will need to check my box of stuff.

I won't properly list the melles stuff - other than the diode that I removed. If anyone is interested in those parts let me know and we can figure something out. :D

I think that's all for now. Let me know if you have any questions - will get pictures/power readings up over the next few days here.

You've got that right - and the rest of Canada along with that. Ladies and gentlemen welcome to Canada, where housing & apartment prices are ridiculous and through the roof :p Living in Toronto is even more expensive, a tiny bachelor usually goes for around 1,000 Canadian rupees in the big city. I've already exhausted my wallet for this month but besides that good luck on the sale man, hopefully you'll get some takers :D

Thanks!

Buddy of mine is buying a house here soon - $392,500 for 2 bed/2 bath. 1440 Sq. ft. That said, his mortgage will still be cheaper than my rent for a one bedroom apartment.

Yes, the situation isn't great anywhere, at least not anywhere you can find decent work :(! Cheapest I've seen a bachelor here is $1200/mo + hydro and internet. And that isn't in a nice building. I'm in a fairly nice building and I'm paying $1575 + hydro and internet for a one bedroom. Let us be glad we aren't living in downtown Vancouver? :D

Thanks! My wallet is also exhausted, literally spent the last of it on lunch today - but payday is Friday for me so that's really not terrible. Got some change in a dish to cover my Tim Hortons for tomorrow! :D

I remember getting Tim Hortons almost everyday when we would take our annual family trips over to the USA/Canadian border in New York as a kid. Boy did I love that place, especially the donuts!

Unfortunately Tim Hortons dosen't exist on the West Coast until you get pretty close to Canada. Down here in Northern California, we got none of it :(

I was actually planning on going to Nova Scotia originally - but just not much work out that way. :(

Do you sell any laser that is suitable for the beginner?

Hmmm - nothing there is really suitable for a beginner. For the most part it's all Class 4 stuff and I generally recommend starting with something lower powered. The 473nm isn't high power, but I wouldn't recommend that as a first laser either. All lab lasers too keep in mind, not pointers.

Some beam shots of the CNI 532, the 445 and the less than fully functional 650 red. Think the red had 5/6 diodes working in this picture. Both pictures without smoke. First picture the lasers are terminating on a black computer case - so they may not seem as bright as you'd think. Already burnt enough holes in my blinds ...

Will get some better pictures up here soon ... Been a busy week. Maybe tomorrow depending on how rough I am. :friend:

Yep - will do. It's one of those small OEM supplies that you see on eBay all the time. With the steel mesh type cover. The driver is the same form factor.
