hello I am new to lasers and wanted to start learning all i can. Here is my background, I am visually impaired so it is challenging for me to do most things. But, I do not let it slow me down. I am looking for any websites or someone who can give me pointers in being successful with making lasers and studying them as that's what I wanna go to college for.

thank you i am definately interested in lasers just need to know where to start and study the ins and outs of them so im not so nervous that my vision will get in the way

both i wanna study computers then study laser physics and quantum computing and work on building and programming quantum computers

welcome! i admire your aspirations. lasers are a fascinating hobby. i most enjoy the simple beauty of the coherent beam (watts are great too ;-). i'm curious about your visual impairment and how it may affect your perception of our hobby.

Well I have not been able to test it I mean I can see the beams in videos but with most thingd fo not d o justice. As for my impairment my visual acuity is 20/90 and im in the general color blind range but the limited colors of laser beams makes it easy to tell those colors apart I just dont have a laser to test what I can see and cannot see

I have a buddy who's colorblind, how different is a brown wire compared to a green wire? If you have the same condition as him I can tell you what lasers to bother buying/not bother buying

For me its usually just green and gellow I cant tell apart if its a lighter green wire and brown I would know the difference but like blue and purple and sometimes if pink was with them I wouldnt be able to tell them apart to save my life lol
