I went to cedar point yesterday (amusement park) and while I was leaving they had their light show going and they had some sweet yellow lasers. Wish I had the money they do :(

Probably. They were so weak though they COULD have used a true yellow diode. Cedar fair IS filthy rich so it wouldn't surprise me.

I'm telling you that nobody has any yellow diodes :p

DPSS maybe, but still highly impractical for a laser show.

Yeah, rich or not, that's an impractical, inefficient, less reliable way to make yellow. You don't get rich by being impractical and inefficient.

okay i meant dpss. you may be right idk. theres no way i can be sure either because none of the highschoolers working there would know

Did you enquire as to the price, availability, where they got them at all.? I like a lot have been after a yellow for ages, even a low power 5mw would be great ,if you do enquire there would be a queue lining up to get one or two

Theres still no practical use of a 589 in a projector..... nobody in their right mind would do that.

I would NEVER build an RGB with a 589nm DPSS unless I won the lottery, and could buy 5/10/20W DPSSW for $30K from LG.

It's definitely an RG ;)

I remember when the powerball was at $600M or something, and everyone was talking about what they'd get. All I thought about was getting mass amounts of DPSS labbies for $30K to get 20W of 589 and 100W of 532

There's only a few people that I know of who use OPSL yellow in their projectors. Combined with blue it gives a beautiful white.

Everyone else uses RG :p

I agree to the beautiful white! I combined my 488 SL argon with my 5mW MG LYR. It was pretty awesome.
