As I said, it can take a while to get a hang of it.

I doubt it's DoA.

5 half taps won't do anything, at least not visibly. The only things that's going to do anything visible is single half taps.

Someone else that ordered a unit with a multi-mode driver will hopefully chime in with some tips.
 





After the 3or5 half taps make sure you wait a full 2 seconds before you make another tap. It something that takes a little practice. Best wishes.

That's to all customers, If you have any problems or questions while the using the laser, it's always the best to contact us(sanwulasers@gmail.com) first as we have the solutions/answers for your problem 95% of the time.

If you picked multi operation mode for your laser, we usually lock it into safety mode before shipment. To unlock, just follow the instuctions on our website.


Turn on the laser, wait 0.5 seconds, do five half-taps(make sure the beam is off every time you press) and wait another two seconds after you done.

It is all types of finicky. I finally got it to light up. But, "half taps" are not what I would call them. Hold the button down until it almost clicks and wobble it around is more accurate. And best part there is a fingerprint on the underside of my lens. It is making the light look like a triangle. FML, Sadface. Anyway, Thanks for the help, everyone.

Do you have picture of the "triangle"? Or the fingerprint? Not saying you're makings things up, but people often have a hard time seeing 405nm properly and it can lead to weird visual artifacts.

Return it for a better example or clean the lens if you are 110% certain that is the problem

Podo--Facebook is a disease--it is garbage entertainment site for weak. delusional, and disturbed minds--a site that babysits and entertains people with a mentality that should not be allowed to own hand held lasers of any kind and are lucky if they are able to feed themselves LOL

If I were you I would cancel/delete everything you have on Facebook and cancel anything that can be canceled re:Facebook.
You really don't want or need customers that use or like Facebook--99% of them are "accidents looking for a place to happen".
