I wanted a powerful compact 405 nm Laser. I was impressed with what Podo had put together with the big 5.2 watt Laser. I wanted the Laser to have its actually power engraved into the host and its wave length. The Chinese name for this Laser is Dragon's Breath.
Bear with me as I post more. I'm using a phone. Anyway in the box also was a USB light. You can make any phone USB charger into a powerful light. He also include the original G2 lens that came with the module. I'll post photos shortly
The unboxed! The Sanwu Five watt in my hand for size comparison.

Nice laser, but you posted this in "Reviews". Is 2 photos what you call a review?

Ah. 1W of 405. Oh the things you will accidently burn in the near future haha. Be careful

GR3EN is seriously right. My 590mW 405nm doesn't look so impressive but it will burn anything, it made burn marks on the wall. Be careful with that thing.

actually I was meaning to put this short story in the ever start a fire thread! A few years back when I acquired my first labbie it was a 405 about 800+mw of 405, anyways I was trying to get a few beams pics and before I could take the 2nd picture the smoke detectors were going off! BE CAREFUL!! It doesn't matter how long you've been around laser (no serious laser hobbyist) likes to be told (be careful) lol
Just seen the new photos, very very nice looking host. Thanks for sharing man

I like the clean solid hosts that Podo and Sanwu produce. These can be engraved with a few words to your liking. There's a few stylish hosts on his site as well.

Just be careful with a 405nm laser, the low divergence beam with high energy intensity ultraviolet wavelengths will definitely burn things from long distance even with G2 lens. At 20 meters, it still able to light matches. :gun:

Ok pm me how to carefully swap the lenses

Wow Podo. The machining on this Laser is so tight I did not see that the Laser is variable focus. You cannot see the line on the focus head at all! When I started to take out the aperature I noticed the joint opening up as I spun it. No Lens change needed. Great Job on the craftsmanship!
After discovering this, I tried this on the other big Laser. Sure enough it is focus adjustable. I didn't see the joint on that one either until I twisted the very end

Thanks! Yes, they machined perfectly by sanwu that you won't notice a line on the joint place. I through you unable to take the lens from the back so I told you to remove the front waterproof cap to do it. Surprise you didn't find out the front head is removable:D
