When he says wired in the case of tail switched he attaches wires to the spring board and you solder in your diode driver and there is a set screw in the heat sink so you can apply a little thermal paste and use the set screw to hold your module in place, there is no plug you simply solder and heat shrink two wires or trim and solder the spring board wires to your driver as he gives you plenty of wire length, it's easy and lots of fun, just remember to always be safe.
Here's a 501 I got from Rich that had a blacked out sink, I decided to sand the lands and leave the grooves black as well as the front of the sink and center front of the adjuster which I think looks really good although this pic is not doing it justice.

Here's a host I recently got from Rich, I put in a NDB7875 @ 2.4a and it's good for 60 second runs or so and I only use EFest 18350 IMR cells as they hold up well for me.
I wonder how it would look with a red powder coat with the lands sanded ?

If you have an idea for a build let Rich know and he can make it happen for you, I am thinking about a fairly compact 7A75 with a 4X c-lens pair enclosed in the nose so it's a tight beam fixed focus, should be a fun one.
