Sale thread/ Hosts/Heat Sinks/Focus adapters/lasers

Hi BTG,
Thank you I tried to match as close a I can, the iridescent finish has a two tone appearance . I thought it would look neat with that coating and the WL also.

@ Paul,
Thanks for the info, I can machine another host use the same heat sink and change the tube and tail cap to downsize. I can also use this host for a nice 520 NDG7475 diode. Will you be putting your module in a hand held? f so cant wait to see it buddy.

Rich:)

No, Rich. I have no problem with a lab laser. I actually have quite a few. Being actively cooled, I think I can get more power out of it just the way it is. If I get lucky enough to get a higher power one, I might put that into a handheld. Will just have to wait and see.

That’s an awesome lookin’ laser, Rich!! Definitely unique throughout!! Wish we could see the yellow beam shot.

-PS
I’ll probably put the package in the mail Monday. Been so busy couldn’t get to it this week.

Hi SGD,
yes it is different in WL, I also wish the photo showed how yellow the beam really is. And its a handful but well balanced took a while but now its done buddy.
When you send just send me tracking..

@Gazen,
These module dont come around to often happened to get lucky to get one. Maybe one day they will be around again..

Hi LPF,
Would like to share this new build. In it is a 575nm module with a SXD driver set to 2.0A 3X18650's 22Awg silicone wire, Powder coated host. Can be made to focus with the machined adapter to fill in the front of the sink. Driver is heat sinked with a copper plate onto the Aluminum integral heat sink. Enjoy to bad the camera doesn't pick up the true yellow WL I assure you its yellow ..
The total length of this is 14 inches due to the 3/18650's

Rich:)

Great looking host---excellent clean work--good luck with it

Very nice.

Hi E,
Thanks a lot appreciated much, I enjoyed machining it took a while but worth it buddy

Rich:)

I am surprised you have not already pounced upon this like a kitty on a ball of yarn. :D

Hi Red,
Thank you was a treat to build but a long time coming. 575nm yellow is sweet and hits at 18 to 20 mW SXD set to 2.0. 1.8 to 2.0 is the sweet spot tested on an LPM before setting the driver up. Thanks for looking

@ Alaskan
PM me we will talk and I will be gentle promise ...

Rich:)

2.0A for 20mw optical @ what, 2-3 volts into the pump diode, wow that's making some waste heat isn't it, good thing you have a lot of aluminum there.

Hi Red, believe it or not it doesn't get hot at all, I ran this for over 45 seconds and the sink isn't warm so I guess its all good.

Rich:)

Hi T,
Thank You I powder coat these hosts with colors to come close to the wave length . But the colors do not have to match all the time. If a customer wants a special color I will do that for them. It's a breath of fresh air instead of the usual AL,CU, and Brass hosts.

Rich:)

Here’s one of Rich’s neat little hosts fitting for the Sharp 490nm WL. DTR’s drop-in/preset to 130mA. https://sites.google.com/site/dtrlpf/home/diodes/sharp-gh04850b2g-55mw
I had this installed in a Leadlight pen for a while but the PCB switch crapped out. It belongs in this nice cyan-color Lifetime17 10440 host anyway. The color is more blue in the photo than visually. Another high5 to Rich:). Here’s some pics.
