Hey all,

Built one final SAIK that I was waiting on the host arrival for.

It's doing 2.3W+ and specs at 449nm. Same deal as the original 4 (5), comes with a G1, price is $300 + shipping.

LPM and spectrometer data attached to this post.

BTW what if the 4sevens 26650 really does output 4.2V, will that in any way be detrimental to the driver/diode?

Just one - and it's the last from me. I don't have any more SAIK hosts on hand, and it was a strange fluke that I ever had several of them to begin with.

EDIT: I should comment that Moe Ron just PM'd me. If he takes the SAIK, then it's his.

Actually, it's so strange -

The last SAIK (or maybe the second last? one of the last two) was purchased by someone who paid, but then ended up having a strange address in an odd country. I've PM'd and emailed him a bunch of times, because the $18 shipping isn't going to cover tracked shipping to this destination.

I don't know what to do. I'm holding on to his payment, but I can't ship his laser off to him. Not jazzed about that.

I think I should perhaps just refund his payment through Paypal and sell to someone else? I've sent two PMs and one email, and it has been two or three days now.

What are the possible complications that can happen if the battery is reversed? Just my luck, the 4Sevens battery I ordered had the sticker in the wrong orientation.

Damage to the drivers. Hopefully not the diode. So no - don't put the batteries in backwards

I sure won't.

I just don't get how such a thing could happen to me. Of course I emailed 4Sevens. They apologized and told me it was an isolated case.

Isn't Four Sevens one of the companies that the characters on CPF will pay upwards of the mortgage payment on a nice house for a flashlight from?

Uh oh. You may be right!

Well anyways I don't think there was any irreversible damage with mine.

I'll start a separate thread for my impressions about this build.
