It was my understanding that it was a nuclear powered missile, not a nuclear armed missile.

There's been some speculation that perhaps the reactor uses NaK for coolant (as other small reactors made by Russia/USSR have done) and that the coolant exploded. Others have suggested that it was the booster which gets the missile up to speed that exploded.

Yep, I don't think it's huge issue over here but honestly it's a bit scary to know there is missiles near by borderSo far it doesn't look as though there was too much radiation released, so while Finland is relatively close I doubt it'll be an issue for you guys, thankfully. Might not want to be in one of the nearby towns though...
