Rick Trent laser kits 3w 445nm

Greetings,

As you can see from my sig I have a few of Rick's, all of which are killer !!!
He does have a very well thought out kit that is very high power and a reasonable price.
I have been working on some builds using the MX900 host that is almost like Rick's but with a larger heatsink and longer duty cycle. He's been great as a mentor and also as a source for excellent parts.

cheers,
Moe

Have you noticed his ebay "3.5 watt" units are no longer being given away.
$375.
He still sells 3.0 watt units at $275.

Getting into 3.xx + watt group of lasers that look awesome ( Mx900) and are under $300 is a no brainier.

the price of diodes are going up and its getting harder to find 3.5w,I am just getting 4 out of 24 diodes that hit 3.5W I am hoping to keep the price down as long as I can . If you get 10 units or more I can do better on wholesale price

Yes, I did see that. I was actually a bit surprised seeing them at the price they were given the power.

THANKS

That is too bad if it is getting harder. I did not see the normal listing on your page, heatsink, diodes weren't there. Did I just not see them or is it going to be a while before they are ? Had plans on getting 1 or 2 diodes.

cheers,
Moe

Sorry Rick, what I was trying to say is get them while you can. I know prices will go up. Have one mx900 I keep in the special laser case.

What is the visible range of the 3w 445nm you sell, rick? I was looking for one i can use target shooting at night. Shooting around 1500 yards and would like to point out the target for the spotter. Just to make it more interesting.

You'd be a lot safer (and cheaper) using a 50mW green for that.

how visible will it be at that range? 1500 yards shooting at an approximate 16 x 26 silhouette. I tried a 20mW but at that range the it just would not work out too great. It the beam visible that far?

It would work at 1500yards call me if your in the USA 423-839-4739 and I will tell you what I did ! before 9pm E

I'm very inclined to believe that if a 20mW green isn't visible a 3.5W blue won't be, either. 445nm looks far more "blurry" and the divergence of the beam is a lot worse.

I don't have a proper range to test for you but worst case scenario a 200mW green would still be far more visible than any blue out there.

At that distance even a very good beam (1mm diameter, 1mRad divergence) will have a diameter of about 1.3m. A blue will cover a *much* larger area.

What's the difference between Zerolasers XML 3.1W and yours? If you provide warranty and honestly answer I will consider buying your laser if you give me a discount because I do graphics design and can help make your website look better as well as make an animated video intro (motion graphics) If you wanna see my work you can go to Abstract Intros. - YouTube or for my website you can go to http://misho5zdesigns.wix.com/1337
Thanks.
