RGV Driver Installation Tutorial

I never made it for a dpss blue, I think it will have big modulation issues. And just like the green, it needs to be isolated from the sled (GND). The input voltage goes down to around 7V.

Are you going to put your 473nm Blue in this build? If so hurry up:D I wanna see it.
Sorry that 473 is going into a full scanner with 300mw642nm 400mw658nm 300mw532nm 100mw473nm and 700mw405nm and 40KPPS scanners. An 8x blu-ray is going in this build.

Got mine up and running!
This kit is superb, followed the tutorial and went without a hitch.
The only thing that got me worried was the pots, I havn't used this type before and was expecting a physical stop, so when it kept turning I got a bit worried!
Anyway its working perfect (11.1V LiPo) and ive just got to align my beams and connect my spiro pots.

Thanks FML! You da Man

Can you sell just the program. i have reeducated my self with pic programing and electronics.
Or if you want to keep the program under lock and key can i buy just the chip?

I sense freaking awesome paint 1337 skillz.

Also, nice tutorial, very explicative :)

Also, cool story bro!

This deserves a necro!!!

How exactly would one go about adding the three switches in to get the basic 7-color control, I'm having trouble understanding. And how would they act independently from the IC? Thanks!

I can't believe this thread only has 24 posts?!?!

It is a good question so here is an illustration:

This shows how you connect it. But you should solder the wires under the board of course.

The switches can be either an on/off or momentary push buttons, whichever you prefer. When one of the switches is activated the corresponding channel will be activated. So if you go the the black marker in the list of programs, you will have the 7 colours available via the switches. But you can also use them while running any other program, and you'll see how the pattern will change and make new effects!

Thanks a lot FireMyLaser!! You should add that pic to the first post, I'm sure others may want to know to.

What exactly does, "Hold delay adjustable in 3 second increments in 16 steps with the option button.)" mean? (just the hold delay adjustable and 16 steps part)

It means it will randomly choose a colour and "hold" it, and later choose and "hold" another random colour. You can adjust how long the "hold time" will be in 16 steps by adding 3 seconds with each step.

Oh that's awesome! I was wondering if there was a way to pause on an awesome color! Something that looks like a blue around 488nm or a 515nm greenish looking color :)

Oh Wow!!! This driver is one giant win! I'm seriously debating laying down almost $700 for a full blown WF kit complete with this drive!
