REVIEW of NEW ARRIVAL at Jetlasers-- Ti-B 445/300 exclusive

Intitial metering showed overspec- however my 16340s are undercharged so I will include metering pics later as well as the rest of the review-- for now you can just drool over these.

This 445/300 Titanium Ti-B is one sweet laser.
It runs on two 16340s rechargeables. The tail cap houses a momentary push button( a little awkward but no big problem) for constant on simply tighten up the tailcap. It takes only a very very small turn to go to momentary only.

With the batteries it weighs 204 grams and is 6 3/4 inches long. The machining is flawless. GBD tells me that the square threads are the best and not easy to do-same with the diamond knurling- he was impressed and he is a machenist and has a lathe.
Around the aperture opening you can read the web address for JETLASERS and thier name is on both of the flat sides. There is no shutter and it has no keylocks or tailcap dongle.

The label near the end reads : Model number DPL s/n 11061704, Details 305T-P445L-300-Fa.

The diameter at the ends is ~1 inch.

With the focus dialed back it has a fine spot that burns the front of my meters very quickly. Showing Overspec. Exact amt TBA when my batt are charged.

At about 3 Meters the spot is the size of a quarter or smaller, however when photographed it looks larger(half dollar coin). Typical of all good 445s handhelds-- IMO.

As you focus out the spot becomes the typical round ended bar and it can be 'de-focused' to a very large Bar--see the photos below both taken from the same distance.

The GB price can be seen on the monitor behind the pics. ATM this can only be gotten in 445/300 and 405/300 -- the price list shows three at 532 nm not available yet.

For the price (GB) I would say this is one you will want to get and KEEP.

GB #5 is closing soon you need to PM me if you want one ASAP. The GB has a max number and these Ti-Bs may be only in stock in low numbers, however there will be a GB#6. Ending prolly sometime in late Aug. By then the 532 Ti-Bs should be available as well as all wavelenghts and powers in the PL-G host which are now available in the PL-C host and at the same GB discount for each. ( for example the cost of the 250/532 is $269 in either host) A list of available PL-G s will be posted in my GB#5 tread asap.

Here are some new pics of this NEW JETLASER Ti-B laser. The metering shots at the end were taken after the batteries had some time on them doing beam shots and outside.
I did not notice the head getting too warm this time and due to the robust nature of the 445nm diode and being underdriven I now feel that a longer duty cycle would not be harmful-- perhaps at 3 imnutes and one off. Prolly even more. I had not asked Gray yet.

The far right shot also taken at~3 M is with the focus extended to the max. on movie screen- no flash.

I dont know whether to say THANKS :thanksr SORRY??:undecided:

AND 300mWs is no typo- being underdriven IMO allows for longer run time and diode life-- and it looks plenty bright and is still a fast burner if that is your question^^^.

Your choice is to get in on the current GB ending soon or waiting until GB#6 starting in Aug and prolly ending Sept 1st, :shhh:

FYI I stopped taking PP in GB #2- as there is NO reason or need to not trust me and all the activity in my bank account and PP may cause me problems with my SSI disability payments as it would appear as a profit making biz which it is not.

ATM I prefer USPO MOs -bank checks and if sent soon enough to clear, personal checks. Scams using PP happen all the time for both sellers and buyers--and IMO NEVER use Western Onion or send cash(yes that still happens!)

Check my old GBs--ask any who got in--You are safer sending me a MO than using PP with a stranger.:beer:

How many pieces is this Ti design, can you get to the driver and diode?

All I have tried to do is open the bottom. I am assuming you want to pot mod-- mmm. you do know that doing this would be at your own risk-- the 1 yr warranteed would be voided if you open the laser up.

I just tried and its rock solid tight- the focus is hard to turn its so tight.

I know it is water resistant and may even be waterproof- but I would never take it under water or try to open it so...

If you want to check mine out I will be at SELEM V in Newton N.C. from aug 19 to 21 and will have all my JETLs with me.


This new Ti-B is now my fav -- but i do still luv my 500/532 PL-C overspec a couple hundred + !!!

I plan to do some nite pics tonite so you can see it next to many others-

Gray will extend you GB prices and TRY to ship 'down under' but I dont know if you can get one in. Thats why I only ship CONUS and Canada-- sorry.

I don't think I would pot mod it but would like to get to stuff if it ever failed! But I also like to screw with stuff and take things apart!

That's a great looking laser Len, glad to see that some manufacturers are making good looking lasers instead of worrying about excessive output power.

I can't wait to see all of these Jetlasers of yours! Not much longer now!

looking fwd to meeting you in person and seeing your face when you check out my new Ti-B 445/300- that will happen in about one week--

BTW ---Gray has always been very honest and I do not doubt him when he told me that JETLASERS does not really make a profit on any of thier Ti lasers sold at the GB prices.
AFAIK JETL is the only one offering Ti lasers and now with the new Ti-B there are many to choose from.
Having said all that, and considering that GB #6 COULD be the last one and then the prices must go back up..... waiting to get the Ti-B 445/532/405 may be a mistake. New reviews will be going up soon by three who got Ti-A 635/20s and by GBD who is currently waiting for his Ti-B 532/250-- I pray the the Canadian Customs does not cause any delay or worse.



When the I first saw the new PL-Ds I noticed that it is very much like the Ti-B except much larger of course. The two look very nice together.

I may need to re-think the ban I put on myself about buying more handhelds, I sure would like to get the 532 and 405 Ti-Bs while the price is relatively low.
