I ordered two of these modules from DX on August 1st. They did not ship these until October 15th, and I received them October 26th. Despite nearly no padding around them in the brown envelope they came in, both arrived in perfect working order. As I recently purchased a Laserbee LPM, I used it to measure the performance of these modules.

The first module output 75mW to start and gradually rose in power as the module warmed up. Output settled at 142mW, taking 90 seconds to get there. Leaving the module on a little longer let it fluctuate between 138 and 145mW.

The second module output rose steadily and rapidly over 30 seconds, reaching a peak of 146mW and settling back to 122mW.

First photo shows the module unscrewed in half showing the crystal mount.

Next two photos show top and bottom of module.

The last photo shows a module, a module in a brass host (1 x 10440), and a DX dilda for size comparison.

I wasn't expecting to get a full 200mW of power for the price of these modules. I am surprised that they exceed 100mw. They are a little better than I was expecting. To put one in a host, the black wire can be unsoldered and replaced by a spring, negative of battery goes to this spring. The red wire is not needed and can be unsoldered or cut off. The brass is the positive connection. A trace on the board goes from the red wire to the case lead of the diode. Positive of battery would touch the tailcap. As long as the brass body makes good electrical contact with the host everything will work. In the host above, the module is a gentle press fit into the host. Good contact and good heat transfer. For anyone still interested in these, beware of the slow processing of DX ...

One of them had some crap on the lens, but once I cleaned it the beam cleaned right up. Neither unit exhibited any sign of mode-hopping. The beam exits at 1.5mm diameter and measures 15mm at 45 feet.

I'm gonna add this to the RT as neutral since many other members that got this module got screwed over the diode dying prematurely.

Wow totaly awsome review... basically, I get 130 mW green module for 45$! Nice! O-like has a 100 mW module for 60 $... Well they do have the quality but... I ain't got money, I might considder getting one of these after Christmass, when I will most likely end up with some $$$.
What is the chance I get a defective one? Both of those seem OK, but considering my luck, I'd most likely end up with one working out of 10 ordered.

That`s so good ! 130mW green for $45.00. Good deal. I`ve also bought that module, they have shipped it yesterday, so I`ll have it in about 3 weeks because of chiristmas and new year.

How much voltage are you using ? or which battery / supply ?
Did you put the module into a host ?
Could you show some beam pictures at night in outside (exterior) ?

Thanks, that would help me !

I don`t think that they are the same. DX will never sell you something spected at 100mW that will give 130mW. The worse "200mW" that I`ve heard are about 80mW and if you are lucky you`ll have 80mW from a "100mW" module. It`s just my opinion from what I`ve read, not really tested by me.
