red laser vs. violet laser

Which diode would be better for burning


this one?405nm Violet burning laser diode

or

this one?660nm red laser diode

Im working with a $50 budget so i only get one try and i dont want to get the wrong one.

Blueray (the first one) will be brighter and the red (the secound one) will burn better.

I would go with the bluray one. 99% of people will be more impressed by a bluray burning laser than a red burning laser.

My solution is, if you can't decide, build both. Each one has its own interesting qualities.
