Hey LikeitBright Did you sand/polish that copper heat sink when you took it off the lathe? Whenever i work with copper theirs always a small amount of chattering i cant seem to stop >:(

I use a high spindle speed with shallow cuts and rigid setup so keep the working length to a minimum and also your tool only protruding as little as possible (sounds dodgy I know ;)) from the tool holder. And a little cutting oil. And finally a little autosol to polish.

Dang dude... Those are SCHWEET! 8-)

It looks like you machined the threaded focus ring on the red... Is that because it is the longer AixiZ glass lens?

Yup, in order to met the length specs I had to thread it all the way through. Those glass lenses are signifantly longer than the plastic acrylic ones. Thanks for the comments :), it was a lot of work making these.

What if we sent you the host, heatsink, diode, and aixiz? How much would it cost for shipping+labor and the driver?

If you have all those components it would be simpler to install a driver yourself unless you need machining? Keep in mind I'm in NZ.

I used a copper sleeve for maximum heat transfer. ;)
