The market here has been saturated now, plus there's not a ton of demand for IR lasers here so I can see why he made the decision. However I do wish he would stay around since I will gladly buy more diodes once my funds recuperate from my argon purchase a bit ago.

geeze, have you no patience? 4 days ago means... Saturday maybe? Ah, yes, you posted about that Saturday. He ships twice a week, I believe somewhere he said Wednesday and Saturday. So, if he did shipping Saturday morningand you paid Saturday afternoon, yours won't ship until Wednesday - that's today.

And if you sent him cash, and posted it Saturday (from Poland) he may not even have received it yet. Then there's a possible wait for the next shipping cycle, and some time for the stuff to get to you. so chill a bit...

but I'll agree that communication is not his strong suit...

So I was lucky, I've ordered and sent cash 3 days before it ;)
 
I sent payment to Chris on 5/27; received my goods (and they are very good!) on 6/3 -- that's less than a week to my door, pretty good - and the deal was unbeatable, highly recommended. Sorry to hear he's not going to be here anymore but I'll definitely keep my eye on his ebid/ebay sites!

fyi, I never got a message either acknowledging my payment or of shipping... but it did happen.

Update: I had ordered a "$10 grab bag".... and last night I checked the contents with a variable current-reg supply and my laser power meter (LPF DIY model :-)

This was a bag of diodes with no guarantee of any usable - but of 30 x 9mm LD's in the bag, 20 were functional - and most of them put out between 1/2 and 1 Watt !! (tested for only a few seconds)

All are IR but I don't know what wavelengths, not having the equipment to test that.

So I'll add my testimony to the rest saying "Heruur" gives great deals! Definitely recommend checking out what he's got on eBid / etc.

I decided to come back due to the outcry when I left.

Thank you Scott for your major order that helped me change my mind about leaving this site for the good as a seller. It will go out on Tuesday most likely, received you Mo in the mail on Saturday Jun 13
