I suggest RED 320mW or higher, Its so nice and easily visible.

Can someone tell me how to edit fonts - i used to do this with no problem before the update.

Go to your User CP -> Edit Options -> Message Editor Interface
and select Enhanced or "wysiwyg" editor.
