is it normal to have a rckstr push out 445ma at 3.45v for a red diode?
ive had 2 diodes blow on me for some unknown reason.

my 3 rkcstrs put out about 445, 440, 444 respectively. i'm working on a red labby/spiro right now set to 400ma. i'll check the output voltage later and report back.

ok, just tested it... my input voltage is 7.2v. and the out put to the red LOC is 3.15v @ 400ma.

Im assuming your referring to LOC LD's? I have not worked with many of the LOC, but have with the LCC from the 6x sleds...

I have had LD after LD blow with less than 2-3hrs on them @ less than 200mW out. The LCC LD's can push 500mW when run hard, but if you plan on putting some hours on them, it is best to back off the current.

Its truly a disappointment when you just get finished lining up an RGV platform, and your red goes p00f!

wannaburn, that does suck as its happened to me before.
i currently have a v3 microdrive straight from ryan thats putting out to much voltage as well as a v2 from osumguy thats doing the same thing. what in the world is causing this?
i tried contacting ryan but no response yet.
