I ordered on Sunday morning, go figure :) "

Don't forget Paul, SUNDAY in the STATES is MONDAY in CHINA :na: rob

Hi, I'm new to this forum, thanks to you I bought this laser: rayfoss 200 MW focusable.
I was recommended well Alvert and also share the same language (Catalan and Spanish)
Comment that the customer service of Rayfoss is excellent and who is responsible for receipt (by e-mail) to the client Mr. Faona a great person who answers all sorts of questions almost instantly.
Also note that have had a great individual attention. Faona told me I will give a European adapter for the charger and IR filter will introduce me (at my request) free of charge.
You have told me before shipment, and send me the measurements prueva the IR filter.
According to the IR filter Faon I will install the engineer of the company and hoped that the measurements are located on 150-160 mw.
Well, according Alvert although you, the prevention of IR is 0% I prefer to put you (for free) since if there is an oversight the eye does not blink with the IR.
Sorry for my English translated.
David.

Hola, soy nuevo en éste foro, gracias a vosotros me he comprado éste laser : rayfoss 200 mw enfocable.

I'm better traducing it xD

Hello, I'm new to this forums, thanks to you I bought this laser: Rayfoss 200mW focusable. Albert advised me very well plus we use the same languages (Catalan and Spanish). I would like to comment that Rayfoss service is excellent and that the woman who takes care of the mail (Faona) is a great person who will answer to all kind of questions almost instantly.
I would like to point out also that the personal atention was amazing. Faona told me that they are going to add an European plug adapter and an IR filter (I asked for it) at no charge.
They also told me that before the shipping they're going to send me the power tests with the filter. Faona said their engineer is going to install the filter and that he expects the laser to perform at 150-160mW.
Well, Albert, although you told me IR risk is 0 I prefer the filter to be installed (since it's free) just in case something happens and the eye doesn't blink at the IR.

David.

did you get batteries & stickers all at once?, i'm still waiting for batteries & stickers as was told was best, so no evidence of what laser power is can be seen when main unit is sent! To be on safe side!

^^^Thanks!!! All Pics are up, I plan on taking some cool night pic's tonight :D

@Waterface No, everything came all in same Box, battery, Laser and all!!! I do not believe Faona when she said it shipped on Thursday, I believe it shipped WAY before that. If the Laser shipped when she said it did, that would mean it only took 2 business days to get to me from China!!! Not possible!!! This also explains why battery was not shipped separately, as I believe the package was already on it's way to me when I asked her to ship battery in separate box last Tuesday.

With this said, even if she did lie, I will still be doing business with Rayfoss. I am VERY VERY pleased with this Laser, it is AMAZING!!! When shined in the night sky, I never seen anything like it, it's mind blowing!!! It goes on forever!!! :D

I am already saving for Rayfoss 500mW, I can't imagine how crazy that Laser looks in real-time :)

It looks great EtherMagic, especially the day pics although i guess the blinds are up, but it looks great!
I am glad all came through ok, batteries etc!!
Are the pics focused ones? & did you have to warm it up for optimum power as i've read!
8 days for batteries i've waited & i was told they were posted on same day & i got laser on day 4, so i guess both companies ship fast, i'm just impatient lol

THANKS Waterface!!!

Yea, you can see the beam pretty good while in the house during the day time, just not out-side while the sun is shinning. I would say there is NO Laser that you will be able to see out-side when sun is out, sun is WAY to bright!!! You can see the Dot very good out-side while sun is out though, just not beam.

You bring up something very intriguing Waterface. The Laser was not burning as I expected yesterday, it was taking longer then expected to pop balloons, but today is it burning better, setting matches on fire much quicker now, but still not as quick as Hallucynogenyc in his vid. I am wondering is if it's because you have to brake the Laser in and use it for a couple days? It is burning better today though, much better!

I was thinking that it was taking longer to burn because I have the LED light on my Laser that is taking up some of the Battery juice, the LED light on the Laser is EXTREMELY bright, I can't even look at it it is so bright!

I will be posting a video along with my review tomorrow night, hopefully the longer I use it the better it will start burning :)

P.S. One of the Pic's I set higher divergence, I think it may be the last one I posted in the dark :)

Well i read something about warming it up & 'peak' power times & 'moderate/average' power etc & as its been in the cold whilst in post & how much its been in testing i dunno! I'm sure it does need to be broken in though i think i read it somewhere.
Mine is sat here without battery or tail cap & is very hard to get warm unless i hold it for ages or put it in my pocket, i'm not sure if its the metal type!!

Rusty said that his is temperamental in the cold & needs to be kept warm & thats for greens in general!!, but i'm not sure if the diode needs a good workout for a few days & then it gets used to being used if you get me!! Don't forget the duty cycle too!

Ah, so you when you say higher divergence, you mean less focused?!!

I need my batteries soon, grr!!

^^^ Yea, less divergence less focus, wider beam :)

Yea, I just went for a ride to show my lady my Laser up at her work, so I had the Laser in my inner coat pocket to try to keep it warm (it's about 10 degree's out here in Chicago, it's freezing!!!).

So, I get to her work, pull out the Laser and the Laser is very cold, like an idiot I turned the Laser on hit the button and the beam was flickering, then went off for a second, then back on again, off and then on, and the beam was also very dim! I just learn how bad the cold effects these Lasers, I just hope this didn't mess anything up in my Laser permanently.

I toyed with my Laser once it warmed-up, and everything seems fine again, it is performing normal for now, just hoping it stays this way :)

What do you mean by "Duty Cycle" Waterface? I wish someone who knows about this "Braking in" process would chime in.

I really LOVE this Laser, I can't wait until you get your batteries Waterface, I want to hear about your reaction to the beam!!! :D

Duty Cycle i read about on here & Susie told me about! Its when you keep the laser on for 40-60 seconds continuous, you must give it the same powered off to be kind to the diode!!

I'm getting confused with this divergence thing!! I'm thinking all the time that an unfocused laser (wider beam) is divergence, like the width of a fatter beam!! How much the diameter of the beam increases the farther away it goes!!, but i'm thinking i'm wrong!! I read stuff on here, but its between people who are technical in their terminology, maybe you could explain in 'English' lol!!

Its cold here too in UK & we have snow!! I'm wanting to take it out in the snow at night as i'm thinking thats gonna look good, hence the impatience!!

I'm sure it'll be ok, Dusty said when he is out in the cold, he keeps his hands around it in his pocket to keep the temp up!!
Was your gf impressed hehe, i'm knowing mine won't be, its a bloke thing maybe!!

Ok, bed for me now, here's to dreaming of packages in the post!!

wf

p.s, was your battery charged on arrival, is it the 18650 lithium? & how long did you charge it for?

make sure battery is charged and then get some skills on finding the focusing point ;)

Awesome that you got your laser Ether, did you try to burn anything with it yet? Also I see you have a a blue LED for it which tells if its working or not, did you ask for that option or did it just come with that, and did it come with the key/lock or the tailplug?

I have yet to get any word on it shipping or the tests, I ordered it on the 7th...
