It's a shame he did not take high-speed video of it firing. I am sure the whole vessel jumps and the flash is also visible.

You're right. I tried to look, but you could only catch a small glimmer of an arc every so often.

Wonder if it generates x-rays? He should get some film and check for that possibility.
