it's red, green and blue diode/module in one VERY small package (35mm (L) x 35mm (W) x 10mm (H))
basic specs:
• 0.13W/0.13W/0.2W (CW)
• 0.4W/0.4W/0.6W (33% duty cycle)
• 457nm/532nm/640nm
• Collimated output
this would be nice for mini RGB scanners, but I think it will be not cheap
what do you think?

Nice find. It will be pretty expensive, though. I wonder if it uses a blue laser diode, forward voltage seems right.

Here's an article talking about how these guys are doing it, talking about how Mits is doing it in their TV, as well as how the NECSEL package works.

They are basically talking about all the ways to make the green laser (and mention the blue as well). The only approach they don't talk about are direct injection diodes, which have only really been produced viably in the past year, but are definitely among the most promising.
 
I Checked on the price of these and for single units..... Drum roll.... $7,500 They are out of their minds. In 3 years we will ripping old cell phones apart and pulling them out
 
457nm is DPSS. It's naturally MUCH MUCH more stable than 473nm tech, though, so it's better all around. The only drawback is lower visibility per mW than 473nm.
