Just a little something I whipped up with some spare parts. I am waiting for some diodes, drivers, and aixiz modules. So until they get here I'll just have to build with what I have laying around. I bought a few of these remote control switches from a local pharmacy CVS. I like to use them instead of a Radio Shack project box for my labby builds, because they look a hell of alot nicer then a plain project box.

But when I used the the module for my labby build I still have the remote left over, so I made a laser out of it! The remote runs off of 1x 23AE 12volt battery. The battery is putting out 12.75 volts, and the rckstr driver is set to the max 440mA. Can someone estimate the mW's of this build for me? Also there is no heatsink so I keep the duty cycles short and sweet!

THANKS

Depending on the maker the 23AE is somewhere 28-57mAh. I don't imagine the diode is getting much current. I ran a 6X off of one once. I could, literally, watch the output decreasing.

Peace,
dave

I just noticed that now whiling hold it on the dot got noticibly dimmer and dimmer until it went down to what looks like to me 5mW's lol

thanks, Dave
