Today I received my ple pro 400mw 532nm. and I'm so disappointed with the divergence of the ray. that I do not want to do a review. this is not the exact thing I wanted. I wanted a powerful thin beam. not a powerful flashlight. I not can burn match on 2 meters. due to poor beam quality and large discrepancy.
my 650 nm 250 mw o-like burns well. and has a very small point.
You should be able to change the divergence with the ring on top push/pull. On mine I can. Changes from a dot to a wide beam. Do wish it would go to a wider beam for the Dazzler effect. But it does start from a beam.
the ring is twisted to the maximum position.
You tried the minimum position?
of course. both positions. in the left point. but in the right a wide beam.
Do you have any photos of the beam/dot at both extremes?
I'm sure if there is an actual problem, Gray, and J/L customer service will help, and make it right!

I'll have to do a review to see this. As soon as I take my camera I will make a video and create a new topic.
Infinity focus which will have the least beam divergence should be somewhere in the middle between the two extremes, if it is turning far enough. Mine was a bit difficult to turn all the way to one direction, yours might be doing the same thing when new, maybe twist it back and forth a few times to get it to move the full range smoothly.
Sorry not at the moment. I'm having a issue with mine also . Need to email JL about. When I have a wide beam I have a black/dark center., don't know if that's normal?
I do not have a black spot on a wide beam.
