PS3 KES-410A Laser Diode

Even if these aren't that powerful, they are cheap and they will make a great pointer (assuming they are violet). You could build 5mW modules and sell them on eBay.

yeah a nice good way to make affordable laser for close friends :)

that way your can always be more powerful MAUAHAHAAAA

i do that all the time. When i buy lasers from Dx, i buy 2 of the same model, and sell the weaker one to a friend for a huge profit.

My "3-pin" diode from psxboy arrived yesterday. It's a red LD  :( starts to lase at about 50 mA. Did anyone order the 4-pin?

well my fingers are crossed

lets hope they can handle 100ma

Umm.. no.
KES-400A can only handle around 38mA. They are not used for burning stuff.

Cool thing about this laser is that it has red, IR, and violet all in one. :)

I did run mine at 60mA for a short time.. until I read it was typically run at 30-38 mA.. Good thing I didn't blow my LD :)
