what would you suggest?? and the amount if your still wondering was $354.20 which is barely enough to pay for 2 weeks of food, gas, drinks, and other misc things plus I need to pay some people back :-/ NO paycheck until next Friday...The monkeys at the bank say theres nothing they can do because they can't see my account, one even locked himself out of his own computer because he didn't know his password while i was there....just goes to show what kind of people are responsible for your money at Bank of America.rkcstr said:Stupid BoA, I'll never do business with them, ever. Sorry, but I thought I'd add in my little story... but it really has nothing to do with your situation.
I had a couple credit cards with them, one since 2001 that I used regularly, the other I got in 2006. Well, the one I got in 2006 was a promotional thing with a store, I bought something, got a $100 credit on my card and 0% APR for 6 months for using the card, and that was it. Well, I went to make a payment one day, but it was like 6pm (after 5pm cutoff for same day), so it would post next day, which was fine since it was my due date. Well, turns out that was the day of Ronald Reagan's funeral... an unexpected "bank holiday", apparently. So, my payment didn't actually post until the day AFTER my due date, which they happily charged me a $40 fee and defaulted my APR from 0% to their like 22% or something.
I called them up and told them the situation, about how I didn't even think about Reagan's funeral interfering and that I had may the payment A DAY BEFORE my actual due date and that it was unfair to hold that against me... and I've dealt with other credit card companies with just making a payment late on same day, and they usually have no problem reversing any charges or effects... well, they told me the "best we could do" is to "split" the fee and couldn't do anything about the APR. "Split" the fee? They're getting the money either way, how could they "split" it with me?? And defaulting me over a stupid technicality? Assholes. I told them that I would be paying off the card and never using it, my other card that I've had for 6 years or any of their services ever again... they couldn't have cared less.
Add insult to injury, just last month, they sent me a letter saying that the account had been cancelled, supposedly because of some "untimely payment" or some crap they say was listed on my credit report... well, I looked at my credit report and saw nothing of the sort. So, they basically just cancelled my card for no reason. I wouldn't have a problem with that except that I'm hoping it won't look bad on my credit for them to have cancelled my account.
So, what this all means is that I would recommend AGAINST using Bank of America, EVER. Seems like they have terrible business practices and could care less about their customers.
I have all of my deposit slips, my check book, debit card and all that stuff. Is that what your talking about? I have nothing from the bank other than thoserkcstr said:I asked before... do you have paper statements that have your account information and previous balance? If so, I'd take that with you and demand the bank manager. I don't know how old you are, but if you're under 25, and if possible, take an older family member or parent, that way you're not just "some kid" coming in to complain.
If the idiots still can't figure it out, is there more than one Bank of America in your area? Go there and try talking to them. Or, you can try calling someone at the "support" line.
