Hey guys,

Well I got this thing working and lasing, but I really want to see what it does with its power turned up.

The problem is, I don't have a remote interface and when I bought it it was pre-wired to run at idle.

Does anyone know how I would wire the power supply on this baby to turn up the power to about 90%? I looked at sams laser FAQ but didn't find anything I thought i could use...

I bet Chris at Heerusciecnces has the answer. I don't know what pins to short but I think it is easy.

a pot between pins 13 and 7 should do it... that will control output in light mode

you should have pins 1 to 3, 2 to 13 and 13 to 7 with a pot inbetween

OK, I don't really have a pot here...

This is what it is right now:

Would it run fine if I just bridged the connection (run at MAX I assume that would be) ?

If not, I have some resistors here... but don't know which one would work the best... how many OHM pot would I want?

Spyrocks doesn't have a pot to what ???? ;D ;D :D
You need a pot and GooeyGas again has the answer :)

Just try some fixed resistors starting at 10K Ohm and work up and down to see what happens.

OK, Talked to GooeyGus on MSN, and eventually we got it running at (Nearly) full output with the help of a 2.2Kohm resistor in pin 7 and 13.

Going to make some videos and stuff now :)

If you ever feel like building a decent controller, here's the drawing I used in addition to the interlock (from sam's laser faq)
