Pot modding FAQ's

I have a <100mW Green Laser 530nm and I've potmodded it and it works now at full power(99.9%) but only for about 1 second and then the power decreases at about 70%. AND: WHEN I PUT VERY GOOD QUALITY BATTERIES LIKE ENERGIZER AND DURACELL THE POWER DOESN'T DECREASE. Can you tell me why is the power decreasing when using normal batteries?? If you know the answer, can you tell me how to fix it?? Please help!!!

I think you are sending them to the search button while you don't give answers at all. Tell them in the old times it was posible but nowadays it's hard to find a laser in wich a pot mod reults ina a real increase of power while the 99% will die.

That means that I'm one of the 1% of the ones who's lasers aren't dead after pot modding?:lasergun:

you pot modded your laser. thats the problem :D and yes you probably are a part of the 1% whos lasers arent dead lol (it will die soon tho). the pot (potentiometer) is like an adjustable resistor. when you pot mod a laser, you are turning down the resistance and turning up the electrical current which in most cases (like mine) will fry your laser diode.
