Radio control is nice, but it isn't globally compatible.
In europe most of such device rely on the 77.5 kHz signal from frankfurt, but other frequencies are used outside of europe, and timepieces will likely not be compatible with (all) of those.
NTP synchronised clocks are more accurate though as they factor in propagation delay, wheras radio controlled ones do not. The error would be far under a second for DCF77 within europe though, so no problem for a wristwatch.
