I built my PC about a year ago, buts its still running like a champ. Unfortunately I can't post any pictures for a week because I'm away at college, but here's the specs:

Case: Corsair 800d (upgraded from an Antec 1200)
Power supply: Coolermaster UCP ultimate 1100w (beast)
Motherboard: EVGA x58 3-way SLI
CPU: Intel core i7 920 stock clocked (all you need unless all you do is encode)
Cooler: Coolermaster hyper n-520 (keeps temps under 30c no matter what)
Graphics card: EVGA GTX 260 core 216 (Old but plays anything on high)
RAM: G skill 6GB DDR3 at 1600mhz (fast, sweet heat spreaders, good value)
HD: WD 640GB 7200RPM SATAII (good, cheap, large capacity)
Optical: Some cheap thing (burns DVD's and it works, SATA of course)
A crap load of blue led 120mm fans and some some 140mm's
An NZXT sentry lx fan controller (totally useless, but it looks awesome on my case and it works)
nice 23 inch gateway 1080p monitor with HDMI, DVI and all that.
Probably won't get upgraded for another year because all my money goes to my ridiculous college tuition.

...EVGA x58 3-way SLI... i7 920... EVGA GTX 260 core 216 (Old but plays anything on high) ... some some 140mm's ... Probably won't get upgraded for another year ...

Awesome rig
Agreed, most games (or other 3D applications...) won't need more GPU power than that for now (and probably well into 2011). 140mm fans??? Wow, I thought my 120s were big. But here size makes a big difference, a difference in noise (and believe it or not, bigger = better :)) 3-way SLI...? 3-way??? Wth, how many slots are occupied with GPUs @present...?

Like I said, I'm waiting on Crysis 2 before making my next move

:thanks:Thanks Traveller. I actually prefer 120mm over 140mm fans because they move much more air because of higher RPM's. I only use 140mm's because of case compatibility issues (800d). And my motherboard supports 3-way SLI, but I only have a single card installed ATM. With my 1100w PSU and my enormous case I do plan on adding a couple more cards at some point down the line when games call for it. lol yeah I thought the 120mm's were big when I first saw them, but they were tiny compared to the 200mm big boy exhaust fan on top of the Antec 1200, which I used to have. I got rid of it because it couldn't hide most of my PSU cables, even though it does have great cable management features. My PSU just has WAY too many cables, even for an 1100 watt'er. It was a fantastic air cooling case though, probably still the best on the market. I'm not sure about crysis 2 though. I think that game is geared more towards consoles. I have a feeling cryengine 3 isn't gonna live up to its predecessor. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. :)

I don't have access to a camera right now... However, I will post my "specs".
Rosewill Challenger Case with blue leds so it's shiny :D
MSI 770-G45 Mobo
AMD Phenom II x4 965 BE (Quad Core @ 3.4 ghz, 6mb L3 Cache)
4gigs G.skill Ripjaws 1600 OC ram (soon to be 8gigs)
Asus HD Radeon 4870 (1gb onboard DDR5, 750mhz core clock, 256-bit interface, soon to be Crossfired)
Seagate Barracuda 500gb 7200rpm HDD (soon to be in Raid 0 when I can find the other identical drive >.< )
Coolermaster 600W continuous PSU
22" Iz3D Monitor (3d doesn't work extremely well, but it's fun)
Runs WoW @ 50-60 FPS at ultra, MW2 at 90+ FPS at ultra (1680x950)
Starcraft 2 at 50+ FPS on ultra... No problems so far, and the best part is that is was pretty dang cheap for what I got. Therefore, I will still have money to get a new one once it is "old".
