Do you derive enjoyment from your post count passing a major commercially available wavelength? :shhh:

Figured I'd post this before Dave reached CO2.

IIRC there was a thread about "seeing" these wavelength numbers in situ. Many hobbyists apparently notice these sets of numbers. I am not one of them, but it was kinda cool seeing the pictures members posted showing where they noticed them in the "real" world.

Peace,
dave

Yeah, I admit, I do that. :P

I also look at the color of light sources differently, now that I pay so much attention to wavelength...

I do the same thing as both of you mentioned, but I'm only 'abnormaly drawn' to my alarm clock. Everytime I see it, I think of blu-ray. I just saw a guy today who ditched this forum at 473 posts, and I thought it was pretty cool

Yup, I notice whenever my post count passes a popular lasing wavelength. My next will be 808!

I didn't notice it til my post count was at like 532, but after that I noticed them. When I am looking at item numbers at my work, anytime 532 is there I notice it....I tend to look for patterns in numbers, just the way I am, so that may be a possible cause.
