An example of the price that I can get directly from the official distributor in
quantities of 10 to 29 pieces is about 220€ each, and about 208€ for
amounts of between 30 to 49 pieces VAT and Shipping included in this case, but expensive anyways.

That is getting close to reasonable for that diode.

I'd say if you could get it down to $150 US, people would start buying them. You'd be looking at a $450 resale laser, but for a watt of red that wouldnt be bad!
