Hi Larry,
As I recall the EU-38 was around $15.00. I have no idea what it costs to ship one.

if i was to 'overclock' my diode, rated at 130, 200 would be as much as i'd want to risk it no?
You peaked my curiosity..I wanted to see what the diode could do when supplied with 130ma. This was all done at only a foot or so away from the module. It will slice through electrical tape, light a non sharpied safety match instantly, light a white headed match, but the white headed match does take much longer as the focus must be perfect. But even driving the diode with 130ma's, it is still impressive. I was using my TEC too when I did this test.
I am still in favor of the EU-38 as we all know in the future we will be able to get even higher powered red laser diodes cheap. So we might as well be prepared..![]()
