Hi Larry,
As I recall the EU-38 was around $15.00. I have no idea what it costs to ship one.

if i was to 'overclock' my diode, rated at 130, 200 would be as much as i'd want to risk it no?
You peaked my curiosity.. I wanted to see what the diode could do when supplied with 130ma. This was all done at only a foot or so away from the module. It will slice through electrical tape, light a non sharpied safety match instantly, light a white headed match, but the white headed match does take much longer as the focus must be perfect. But even driving the diode with 130ma's, it is still impressive. I was using my TEC too when I did this test.
I am still in favor of the EU-38 as we all know in the future we will be able to get even higher powered red laser diodes cheap. So we might as well be prepared..
