I noticed a couple of things about that laser:

That page doesn't have any of the US warnings on it, while the weaker 70mW model does. Doesn't mean you'll get it if you order it, but it makes me wonder if there are chinks in DX's armor.

The power supply has dual independently-adjustable outputs. The second one appears to be marked 'Grren'.

The wire leading to the module is only two-strand, so unless the module has more electronics inside it the laser is run CC rather than APC. Why are so many diodes run in CC mode, when the devices we are stripping them out of usually use the photodiodes for APC feedback? (I suppose it is possible that there is APC circuitry inside the module, kept close to the diode for bandwidth and SNR reasons. Does anyone who has disassembled one of these remember whether or not there was a small driver board inside the module?)
