I have received and sent numerous PMs with no problems.

Just last night I received PM and then responded, but when I checked the "sent" folder it was not there. I do not know if they received my PM but I have no record of it being sent.

Today...different member-same problem, I send PM and no record of it in sent folder.

I am sure I hit the send and not delete button.


I have done a search with no results along these lines...
Even double checked my options and settings-all is good.

Not a huge deal.

Did the last one you sent me (that I replied to) show up in your sent folder?

It did not dave.
In fact I sent a response to coldshadow and same thing. But hopefully he received it.

I would empty my folders but kind of need some of them.
Of course whatever it takes...
 
issue was resolved for bennett, the person was blocking him from recv PMs

not sure not why working for u irritated.

would u mind if i changed the password to your account so i can log in to it and try sending the PM to the same person that it fails for u? i just want to see it still happens from a different system

do u have another system u can test from
 
There is a setting in the User CP to save sent messages to your sent folder. Make sure that is checked.
 
okee dokee, nothing worked.
My options are all correct and checked appropriately.

Sent messages after safari reset.
Sent one from completely dif system (ubuntu netbook)
Can use my droid next if you want.

My password has been sent to you.
If this is a setting I am going to kick myself.

i logged into your account and the option to save messages to the sent folder wasn't set

i tried sending myself a PM and it worked... and it saved to your sent folder
 
the option:

When sending private messages the forum can make a copy of the message in your Sent Items folder.
Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent Items folder by default

was not set

i set it for u

I set it 3 times.

I know the option well, it is on my other forum also.
triple checked and saved it. (funny thing is, I never unchecked it to begin with. Been sending messages fine for over week)

But alas, it is fixed.

u need to go to the global settings to permenetly save the option (that is what i did to fix it).. it doesn;t globally save if u simply check the box under the PM when sending it
